WHEN BUYING A REGISTERED PONY

When purchasing a pony registered with the Australian Pony Stud Book Society, the following checklist is suggested.

1. If the pony is four years of age and over it must be adult registered.
2. Is the pony under 4 years of age?
If so, it must be foal recorded, or it may be
adult registered if a filly or gelding. Foal recorded ponies must be adult registered between the ages of 2 to 4 years.
3. Do the brands and markings match those on the certificate of registration?
4. Is the vendor the registered owner of the pony shown on the certificate of registration?
5. Is the vendor a current financial member of the APSB society?
Members are issued with a membership card each year.
