We use this event as a fundraiser for our Annual Stud Pony And Open Horse show held on the 3rd and 4th October 2009 at Binnaway NSW. STALLION TENDER 2008
Small Shetland Ponies 8.2hh & Under
“Conditions of Tender” for our 2008 Stallion Tender.
Tenders open on 1 May, and must be lodged no later than 5 pm on 30 June 2008
Information and Pictures of the Stallions available will soon are on our Website for you to view. Those without internet access can request this to be mailed to you.
This will be our major fundraiser for the year, with all proceeds of the tender being donated, by the stallion owners, directly to our group, to use for show sponsorship.
Please Note that the minimum bid is $400 and a $50 handling fee per stallion.
Please remember, some of these Stallions DO NOT stand at public stud, so use this opportunity to send one of your mares to one of these highly regarded Stallions, for a much reduced Stud fee. GOOD LUCK to everyone!!!!!
HOW TO ENTER Tenders must be lodged no later than 5 pm on 30 June 2008.
Submit your tender by nominating an amount in the Tender Column for one or as many stallions as you like.
Do not send money now – if you are successful you will be notified shortly after close of the tender and an invoice will be sent to you for payment.

West NSW Pony Breeders Group in conjunction with the Nth & Nth West APSB are running a SELECT PONY SALE on Saturday 25th Novemner 2006 at the Tamworth Showground Indoor Arena.
On offer is a wide selection of Riding ponies, Welsh ponies, Australian ponies, Part Welsh and Part Bred APSB from well known studs.
Many of the ponies on offer carry some of the finest bloodlines available and are from highly performed prize winning families.Ponies will be available at the sale from the following studs.

7th Annual Stud Pony & Open Horse Show
The Warrumbungle Sub Branch Australian Pony Stud Inc held their 7th Annual Stud & Open Horse Show on 30th September & 1st October 2006. The weather was great after a cool night.
We all expect some last minute problems in running any event but what a headache we had just 4 days before the show having to find another venue due to the requirement to now have to sign an Indemnity for the Lands Department of New South Wales absolving them of any liability with regard to the use of any Showground, Racecourse or Reserve owned by them and controlled by a Trust Committee. This indemnity covered access and exits from the ground, all structures and permanent fixtures as well as all other bits and pieces, paraphernalia, goods and chattels [appurtenances].
The APSB Insurance did all they could to make it possible for us to remain at Coonabarabran Showground – even to the point of putting additions and notations on the policy but that was all to no avail and we were denied access to the Showground. Only through the help of the Local Mayor and General Manager of Warrumbungle Shire were we able to move to the Binnaway Showground.
This is a very serious problem for all Groups now using Trust held Crown Land showgrounds so be warned the indemnity that they ask to be signed absolves them of any maintenance and upkeep responsibility.
Trying to let exhibitors know proved difficult, many phone numbers were unknown and with exhibitors been able to down load from several web sites. Emails were send were possible, the various web site changed, phone messages to those we could contact and asking them to pass the message on to any one that maybe coming. Various roads in the area were signed posted and signs placed on the previous venue, indicating were go, a short 30 minutes away.
We had exhibitors coming from as far away as Oaklands in the Riverina, to those coming from the North West and Northern areas of the state as well as the Central West of NSW. Some Exhibitors arrived on Thursday with more on Friday. It decided to have an impromptu communal BBQ on Friday night with everyone contributing something towards it. This was well received as was the BBQ held on the Saturday night for a small charge. Everyone enjoyed the social time together.

From 2007, the Show will start on the Thursday before Good Friday, have its last day on a Wednesday, and run for a total of 14 days as usual.

As this is the Year of the NEW FOREST PONY, one of Warrumbungle Sub Branch members has kindly donated a MINIATURE HAND MADE SADDLE, she as won many prizes at shows with them. For the Champion New Forest Pony at our Stud show to be held on the 30/9/06 - 1/10/06 at Coonabarabran - NSW. ALL APSB classes are judged on the 1/10/06. If any New Forest Ponies come they can have FREE stables.

The saddle is fully and made using Kangaroo Hide, Cow Hide & deer Hide. It is 6 inches in size and takes
approximately 40 hours to make and is worth $150.00.
It comes with its own Miniature Bridle & Minaiture Stock Whip. The Saddle, Bridle & Whip comes on its own Post & Rail Fence Stand.

ALL BREEDS STALLION PARADE 3rd September
A STALLION PARADE coming up on the 3rd September, 2006. It is held at the Goulburn Showgrounds through Gate 3 and commencing at 10am. The parade is organised by RDA Goulburn and all proceeds will go to supporting Riding for the Disabled - Goulburn. Not only will you see some beautiful stallions on parade but some of their progeny are being presented for sale. Also included on the day is - Ridden demonstrations, Lectures & demonstration on hoofcare & trimming, Diagnosing lameness - which leg & where? and a Car Boot sale of saddlery & horse gear. NORTH & NORTH-WEST SUB BRANCH
Our group is holding a Social Day on Sunday 2nd July at Peppertree Hill, Attunga. The day is an informal get together which consists of a lunch cooked by our entrepreneur cooks Richard Edler and Peter Tongue which is always delicious. This is a fundraiser for our Annual Stud Pony Show which will be held on Saturday 14 & Sunday 15 October 2006, lunch charge is $15 per head.
This year the Stud show has a "Shetland feature" and also has classes for all APSB breeds, coloured breeds, an extensive harness program and ridden classes. This is always a great show, enjoyed by all the competitors and we have terrific prizes.
